This webinar will provide AEM members with high-level regulatory and legislative trends to look out for and potential impacts on the equipment manufacturing industry.

  • AEM Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs Nick Tindall will share thoughts on the new administration’s impact on the equipment industry.   
  • AEM Senior Advisor of Global Public Policy Alex Russ will offer insights into Canadian advocacy and AEM’s Mining, Agriculture, and Construction (MAC) Protocol ratification efforts in the new year.

Alex is tasked with developing and coordinating industry positions on U.S. and international policy, helping companies identify and overcome legislative and regulatory barriers, and managing relationships with senior U.S. and foreign government officials. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian- American Business Council (CABC). Prior to joining AEM, Alex was a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives handling trade, foreign affairs, transportation, environment, and energy policy.

Chris serves as AEM’s subject matter expert on federal infrastructure policy. Prior to joining AEM in 2021, Chris spent seven years on Capitol Hill working for Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11) and Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-04). Chris worked closely with the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure and provided counsel to Congressman Smith on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, commonly known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Autumn joined AEM after spending three and a half years at the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), where she served appointed and elected heads of state departments of agriculture to help further federal policies that empowered them to serve farmers and ranchers in their states - with a focus on issue areas such as rural development and technology. Autumn comes from a small family farm in northwest Georgia, so her passions for the industry run deep.

Kate oversees the association’s federal government relations efforts, as well as AEM’s political action committee, AEMPAC. Before joining AEM, she worked on and managed several political campaigns as well as spent time working as a staffer on Capitol Hill and in the Texas State House.
